On Sept. 1, beginning at 1 p.m., the NYC Solar Partnership will host a one-hour webinar for co-ops and condos – and other communities – interested in going solar at a discounted price through the city’s Solarize NYC program. The webinar will explain financial and technical resources for installing solar energy systems. You’ll also learn how to submit an application to lead a solarize campaign.
The Solar Partnership will provide financial and technical support for up to eight successful applicants per year to run group-purchasing solar campaigns in their communities. The application deadline for this year’s round is Sept. 13.
As we report in the current issue of Habitat, you can visit the NY Solar Map and Portal, type in your building’s address, and find out if your roof is a candidate for solar energy.
