So talk about your glove-of-the-future: Lunar Foam was developed by NASA, according to Nike Footwear Design Director Sean McDowell, who told one running-shoe site that this extremely lightweight foam was originally used in Space Shuttle seats and adapted by Nike for running shoes, under the trade name Lunar Foam. This is its first application for other than NASA or Nike.
Now that's amazing: Space gloves for your super!
Made of a white nylon shell with a gray palm and coated with Lunar Foam nitrile that the 30-year-old, Ohio-based manufacturer says provides an "excellent grip with dry, oily or wet applications," the new PosiGrip model 715SNFLW is available in sizes XS to XXL, and is machine-washable and antibacterial.
