Andersen Waterhog Eco Floor Mats
The latest addition to the 35-year-old Andersen Company's Waterhog brand of floor mats, the Eco Line is made from 100% recycled material. The post-consumer fibers are made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), reclaimed from plastic soda bottles and the like, and the backing contains 15-20 percent recycled tires. Perhaps from those cabs that take you to the airport.
Available in 35-, 45- and 70-inch widths up to 60 feet long, the 3/8" thick mats weigh 30 ounces per square yard. It come in various designs and your choice of eight colors. Certified slip-resistant by the National Floor Safety Institute — isn't it amazing, all these specialized institutes and associations we learn about from New Products? — and can help your building gain points toward LEED certification.
