Flexco Evolving Styles Rubber Tile
First hand-soap, now rubber tile, sheet and stair treads — everything's going antibacterial!
Evolving Styles, the latest line from the manufacturer Flexco, is a PVC-free rubber tile that comes in two collections: Creative Elements, which includes 16 tone-on-tone colors, and Wood Elements, with cherry, oak, maple and pecan shades. Both collections are low-maintenance and have low life-cycle costs in that they require no waxing. But that's not the fun part — and, yes, we know, we've just used the words "fun" and "rubber tile, sheet and stair treads" in the same thought.
The fun part is that, like medicines and life-saving vaccines, these tiles fight germs! Yes! And they have the sheepskin to prove it: They have, says Flexco, a "natural resistance to bacteria and fungi when tested in accordance with ASTM G 21," which refers to the aforelinked standard of the American Society for Testing and Materials, and in addition "contains an antimicrobial agent for added protection against mold and bacteria."
Now, we're not saying you could eat off the floor, but hey — maybe you could! And in any case, you could do it with a range of sizes up to 48 inches by 25 feet, and in 1/8- and 0.1-inch gauge thicknesses. Seriously, what else would you want from rubber flooring?
