Diskuss Emergency Lights

With a slimline casing that rises just 3.6 inches from a surface, the Diskuss fits in all sorts of places, even outdoors, to serve as regular and emergency lighting. For the former, it operates on regular AC power; for the latter, you can choose the optional nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, which provide power for 90 minutes, and the "Intelli-Charge" diagnostic / charging platform, which has a self-testing mode that automatically runs a one-minute self-test every 30 days and a 30-minute test on the sixth and twelfth month. Microprocessor-driven with software-embedded diagnostic routine and temperature compensation, this light is probably smarter than most small mammals.

Illumination is accomplished with long-lasting, energy-efficient, 7.2 Volt / 12 Watt white LEDs with a custom reflector to help optimize light output. The housing is die-cast aluminum with a polycarbonate lens. Its operating temperature range is 32-104°F in a wet location, down to -40°F with a heater option. It comes with a three-year, full electronics warranty, and a five-year plus five-year-prorated battery warranty.
